Zamalek to impose heavy fines on Ricardo, Hamza
Published in FilGoal on 09 - 08 - 2008

Zamalek will sidestep the club's internal regulations to impose heavy fines on Ricardo Alves and Gamal Hamza, assistant coach Tarek Yehia said on Saturday.
In a bizarre scene, the duo engaged in a brawl during Zamalek's 2-0 Egyptian League victory Ghazl Mahalla on Friday.
According to Zamalek regulations, the maximum fine that the club can impose on any player is EGP 20,000.
But the Cairo giants intend to adopt a new policy to clampdown on the players' improper behavior.
"We will not announce the amount of the fine, but it will exceed the 20,000 which is included in the club's regulations," Yehia told FilGoal.com.
"Those regulations must be amended to deal with the players' unfortunate faults."
Yehia revealed that Zamalek's German coach Reiner Hollmann will hold a meeting with Ricardo and Hamza in addition to skipper Ayman Abdul-Aziz to resolve the dispute.
"But whatever the outcomes of that meeting we will not be lenient with Ricardo and Hamza," Yehia insisted.
