Zamalek's left-back Ricardo Alves has been banned for three matches by the Egyptian FA due to an improper conduct over an argument with a teammate. "The player has been also handed an EGP 10,000 fine," the Egyptian FA said in a statement on their official website. The Brazilian engaged in a scuffle with teammate Gamal Hamza in Zamalek's 2-0 victory over Ghazl Mahalla. Hamza, known for being a temperamental forward, slapped Ricardo and the latter responded in the same manner. Zamalek captain Ayman Abdul-Aziz intervened along with his teammates to separate the duo. Although Hamza appeared to be the one who confronted Ricardo, referee Essam Abdul-Fattah dismissed the latter.
