Mohamed Zidan denied Werder Bremen a certain goal as Borussia Dortmund held them a 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga on Sunday. Bremen took the lead after 36 minutes when Mesut Ozil fired home after a cross from striker Aaron Hunt. They almost doubled their advantage just before the break but Per Mertesacker's close-range shot was cleared off the line by Egyptian striker Zidan, who scored a remarkable last-gasp goal in Dortmund's 3-3 draw with Bremen last season. Lucas Barrios, who had a goal ruled out for offside moments earlier, seized on a rebound to level the score nine minutes after the restart. It was the Argentinean in-form striker's fifth goal in as many league games. Zidan, who notched one league goal so far this season, was substituted shortly after. He is set join Egypt's training camp on Monday as the Pharaohs gear up for the crucial World Cup qualifier at home to Algeria on Saturday. Dortmund, who extended their unbeaten run to five matches, lie ninth in the table with 17 points from 12 games. Zidan clears the ball off the line
