Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is sad that his team couldn't score more than once against Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final first leg. Despite dominating Wednesday's clash at Old Trafford, the European champions won 1-0, and Ferguson believes United could've sealed the whole tie at home. "We always do things the hard way and this is another night when we have got our fans frustrated," the Scottish tactician said after the game. "Maybe we should be in the final already but we are not but we have done that many times. "We did it in the last round and we will have to go through the process of taking the game to the wire probably." After drawing 2-2 at home with Porto in the quarters, United reached the semis following a 1-0 away win at the Portuguese champions. Ferguson added that he aims to score against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in the return leg on May 5th. "We have players who can score goals and we will be a goal threat at their ground but the tie is not over," he added.
Payback From his side, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that his players now have a chance to make United pay for not scoring more goals on Wednesday. "Unietd can have regrets because they didn't score a second and it's down to us to make them regret that they didn't score a second goal," the Frenchman said. Wenger, who admitted the Red Devils' superiority throughout the first leg, added that his players are capable of turning things around next Tuesday. "At home, I am convinced you will see a different Arsenal team and we still have a very good chance to reverse the result." he said. In addition to chasing both the Premiership a nd Champions League titles, United already won the Carling and Club World Cups earlier in the season. Arsenal, who are out of contention in the league, will be hoping to salvage anything from their season through European success.
