Ittihad's newly-signed striker Hossam Hassan has pulled out of the team's training after suffering pain in his knee, coach Mohamed Omar said on Saturday. The veteran frontman, who joined Ittihad from Tersana on a one-year deal for EGP 500,000, missed the last two months of the Egyptian League due to a knee injury. However, Omar revealed that the last problem is not as serious as initially feared. "I preferred to rule him out of our training camp until he undergoes medical examinations to find out the reasons behind this pain," Omar told FilGoal.com. "Team doctor Magdi Abdul-Aziz confirmed that Hassan will be able to resume training very soon." The Alexandria-based club are holding a 15-day training camp as they will participate in a friendly tournament that will take place from 17 to 26 July. Scotland's Aberdeen, Maritimo of Portugal and Egyptian duo Harras Al-Hodoud and Arab Contractors will take part in the tournament. Meanwhile, Nigerian striker Daudu Alilu's deal with Ittihad is in jeopardy after the player's former club Shooting Stars demanded their dues from the Egyptian side. Alilu joined Ittihad last summer for $50,000 but Ittihad have paid just $20,000 so far.
