Egyptian veteran striker Hossam Hassan said on Wednesday that he has edged closer to a move to Alexandria-based club Ittihad from Tersana after the latter secured their Egyptian League safety. The 40-year-old prolific striker does not intend to hang up his boots, preferring to carry on for another season. "I have held a meeting with Ittihad vice-president Mohamed Moselhi and coach Mohamed Omar in which we reached a preliminary agreement regarding a possible move," Hassan told Dream TV. "However, we will delay further talks until the season's end out of respect for Tersana's administration and fans, who have been very supportive of me throughout the season." FilGoal.com have learnt that Hossam, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has already penned a one-year contract with Ittihad for EGP 500,000. The former Ahli and Zamalek striker joined the newly-promoted Tersana from Masri in the off-season and contributed to the club's success in maintaining their top-flight status, scoring six goals.
