Ittihad goalkeeper Essam Mahmoud revealed on Tuesday that he has reached an agreement with the club to sign a three-year contract extension. "I will earn a total of EGP one million and five hundred thousands during the three years," Mahmoud told FilGoal.com "There is a clause in the contract that allows me to leave Ittihad in case they suffer disastrous results. I don't care with finances; all what matters is that the team become competitive next season." Mahmoud's contract was due to expire at the end of the season but the Alexandria-based club opted to tie him to a new deal. Meanwhile, Ittihad boss Mohamed Omar said that veteran striker Hossam Hossam will return to his side's training on Friday after recovering from a knee injury. The 40-year-old, who will begin a new adventure with Ittihad after leaving Tersana, hasn't participated in any training session for a week after sustaining the injury.
