Veteran striker Hossam Hassan said on Thursday that he has backtracked on his decision to leave Ittihad, just few weeks after signing for the Alexandria-based club. "I changed my mind after seeing Ittihad fans' eagerness to have me at their beloved club. Ittihad president and vice-president have also played a big role in keeping me in Alexandria," Hassan told FilGoal.com. Hassan, who joined Ittihad from Tersana on a one-year deal for EGP 500,000, initially said he will depart the club due to its instability. The former Ahli and Zamalek frontman, who turns 41 next month, was also infuriated by a comment made by an anonymous board member, who claimed that Ittihad should have used the money to fund other things instead of signing him. Meanwhile, Ittihad have presented documents to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to prove that their forward Samuel Kyere has signed a contract extension last month. If Ittihad claims prove to be correct, the Ghanaian forward could be suspended as Arab Contractors announced that they have signed him on a three-year deal.
