Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed has handed Zamalek an official request to terminate his contract following a dispute with the club over his due payments. The 29-year-old said Zamalek gave him 25% of his annual payment, contradicting the contract which states he is entitled for the entire sum of the first year. Al-Sayed has also submitted a complaint to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), demanding his contract be annulled. "Zamalek will be given four weeks to resolve this dispute, otherwise the contract will be cancelled and Abdul-Wahed will be free to join any team in the January transfer window," EFA official Ahmed Megahed told FilGoal.com on Tuesday.
The Cairo giants suspended Al-Sayed for indefinitely and the Egypt international has voiced his anger. "The club's decision is illegitimate because I took a legal channel by approaching the most powerful football authority in Egypt, the EFA," he said. "My relationship with Zamalek suffered a massive blow," he insisted. Zamalek suspend Al-Sayed indefinitely
