Lokomotiv Moscow striker Amr Zaki admitted his move to Zamalek is in jeopardy after Egyptian club officials asked the Russian club to reduce their asking price. "A delegation from Zamalek traveled to Moscow to renegotiate the deal," Zaki told FilGoal.com in an exclusive interview on Wednesday. Zamalek had previously announced they agreed a 1.4 million euro deal with Lokomotiv for the transfer of the 23-year-old international. However, following the suspension of club president Mortada Mansour, Zamalek's board chose to rethink the financial details of the deal. "An official from Lokomotiv called me from Russia and said that the club is not ready to reduce the asking price, which means the deal will probably fall through," he said. Zaki also revealed to FilGoal.com that he has no intention to return to Moscow if his move to Zamalek does not go through.
"I made my decision and I'm not going back to Russia," the former Enppi player said. "I couldn't adapt to life in Moscow and I don't think I will." Zaki, who played a pivotal role in Egypt's African Nations Cup winning campaign in February, said that other clubs are still interested in signing him and that he will consider joining one of them if he does not complete the Move to Zamalek. "I have received some offers from two Turkish clubs and newly-promoted Premiership side Sheffield Wednesday. "I also received offers from Saudi sides Hilal and Nassr and another from a club in UAE," he said. Zaki ruled out a possible move to Zamalek's arch-rivals Ahli, who had previously shown interest in him. "Ahli were not prepared to meet Lokomotiv's asking price to begin with, so I doubt they will change their mind this time around."
