Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow has threatened to ban striker Amr Zaki if Zamalek do not pay the second installment of the Egyptian international's contract. FilGoal.com has learned that Lokomotiv sent Zamalek a fax on Sunday asking for their second installment of 500,000 Euros, which is two weeks overdue. Zaki had completed a move from Lokomotiv to Zamalek in August after a summer-long saga in a deal worth 1.4 million Euros. The Russian side had accepted Zamalek's request to complete the payment through installments.
But Lokomotiv officials seem unhappy with Zamalek's delay in payment especially after reports linking Zaki to a move to the Premiership. An insider source in Zamalek told FilGoal.com that Lokomotiv threatened to complain to FIFA and have the 23-year-old suspended if Zamalek do not make the payment very soon. Zaki has been exceptional for Zamalek so far this season despite being hampered by a series of injuries. He is currently leading Zamalek's scorers with six goals to his name.
