EGX closes in red on Oct 13

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday, with main index, EGX30 plunging by 2.63 per cent to 29,954.12 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 sank by 3.22 per cent to 3,105.88 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 plummeted by 1.87 per cent to 7,329.36 points.
The EGX100 index dived by 2.29 per cent to 10,398.66 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,142,689,638,916 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 4,372,873 Egyptian pounds, and 103,596,720 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were buyers with 103,596,720 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
1. Shares of Memphis Pharmaceuticals (MPCI.CA) soared by 14.10 per cent to close at 49.610 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. Shares of Misr Hotels (MHOT.CA) surged by 9.01 per cent to close at 23.230 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. Shares of Concrete Fashion Group For Commercial& Industrial Investment (CFGH.CA) jumped by 8.85 per cent to close at 0.123 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
1. Shares of Alexandria New Medical Center (AMES.CA) dived by 11.27 per cent to close at 17.950 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. Shares of Natural Gas & Mining Project (Egypt Gas) (EGAS.CA) sank by 10.04 per cent to close at 47.680 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. Shares of ELSWEDY ELECTRIC (SWDY.CA) shed by 8.32 per cent to close at 92.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
