EGX ends sharply higher on May 19th

Egypt's stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 jumping by 4.49 per cent, to 27,315.83 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises' index, EGX70 surged by 3.91 per cent, to 5,886.88 points.
The index, EGX100 index climbed by 4.59 per cent, to 8,535.19 points.
The total market cap reached 1,839,569,588,105 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs' transactions were mainly selling with 669,525,802 Egyptian pounds, and 961,099,834 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,630,625,636 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Sunday
1. The shares of Rights Issue Of Egyptian Chemical Industries Kima-3 (EGCH_r3.CA) skyrocketed by 55.41 per cent, to close at the price of 1.408 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. The shares of ELSWEDY ELECTRIC (SWDY.CA) climbed by 19.99 per cent, to trade at the price of 44.410 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. The shares of Electro Cable Egypt (ELEC.CA) jumped by 19.96 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.224 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Sunday
1. The shares of Maridive & Oil Services (MOIL.CA) sank by 5.20 per cent, to close at $0.255 a share.
2. The shares of Telecom Egypt (ETEL.CA) dived by 4.92 per cent, to close at 31.710 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. The shares of United Arab Shipping (UASG.CA) dropped by 4.46 per cent, to close at the price of 0.579 Egyptian pounds a share.
