The Egyptian army thwarted Monday six terrorist attempted attacks on army personnel in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuweid city, Al Bawaba News reported. The army succeeded in defusing six improvised explosive devices, which were planted by Wilayat Sinai terrorist group militants on a military road in Sheikh Zuweid. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, terrorist group after it had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
