ALEXANDRIA, Egypt: Members of the April 6 Youth Movement accompanied by independent political activists launched a graffiti campaign in Alexandria Sunday to support detained political activist Ali al-Halabi. Halabi, member of April 6, was detained by the military police when he was painting graffiti against remnants of the former Regime. He was accused of vandalizing public property. April 6 members said that Halabi's detention is as a violation against the Egyptian citizen's rights, who is tried before a military court. The movement organized two protests in Alexandria to support Halabi, demand his release, and the cessation of military trials.
