CAIRO: Turkish Investments in Egypt are planned to increase to U.S. $5 billion (29.8 billion EGP), Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf announced at a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan Tuesday. Both premiers agreed on increasing trade volume between the two countries. Sharaf unveiled cooperative agreements between Cairo and Ankara to strengthen ties, saying all political views of both countries are almost the same. Erdogan highlighted his country's support to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation between Egypt and Turkey. The Turkish Prime Minister added he would participate in a meeting between Egyptian and Turkish businessmen to seek a number of joint projects in tourism, transportation, banking, and energy.
