Egypt full-back Ahmed Elmohamady has joined Hull City on a season-long loan from Sunderland, both clubs announced on Thursday. The 24-year-old reunions with ex-Sunderland boss Steve Bruce, who was the one to introduce him to English football by signing him from ENPPI in 2010. Elmohamady, who is a regular for the Egypt team, has hardly featured for the Black Cats since manager Martin O'Neil replaced Bruce last season. He made 60 appearances for Sunderland, scoring once in a 2-2 draw with West Brom last term. His chances at the Stadium of Light became limited with the arrival of right-back Carlos Cuellar and the presence of Phil Bardsley and John O'Shea. The former Ghazl Mahalla man is expected to make his debut for the Egyptian-owned Hull against Bolton this weekend.
