Petrojet midfielder Mohamed Shaaban deeply believes in his team's title credentials, saying the petroleum outfit are capable of outclassing the Egyptian Premier League heavyweights. Mokhtar Mokhtar's side came across as title contenders in the first half of the last three seasons, but constantly saw their form plummet after the winter break. However, Shaban is convinced that Petrojet have learned their lesson, and could well win their maiden league silverware this term. "We always suffer a dip in form in the second half of the season, but not this time," he told Modern TV. "I have my own reasons to be optimistic about Petrojet's chance to be crowned champions. "We finished in seventh place in our first top-flight season, secured fifth spot in the next year before finishing third last term. "At this rate we should claim the title this time around, God willing." Petrojet, who have a game in hand, are now in the league table second place with 35 points, trailing leaders Ahli by five points.
