The Egyptian FA refused to overturn Emad Meteb's yellow card in Ahli's 1-1 draw at Harras Hodoud, competitions' committee chief Amer Barakat told FilGoal.com. Meteb was cautioned after being involved in a confrontation with a Hodoud official, who wrongfully entered the pitch late in the game. Ahli were furious with referee Samir Osman as they appealed against the caution, but their attempt turned unsuccessful. In the same context, Ahli manager Hossam Al-Badri has been fined EGP 3,000 for criticizing the referee after the game. Apart from Meteb's booking, Al-Badri was unhappy with the decision to allow Ahmed Eid's opener for Hodoud, which should have been ruled out for an offside. Zamalek manager Hossam Hassan has also been hit with an EGP 5,000 fine for protesting furiously against referee in the 1-0 win over Arab Contractors.
