Harras Hodoud's goalkeeping coach Islam Youssef claimed that Ahli striker Emad Meteb verbally abused him during Thursday's Egyptian Premier League game between both sides. League leaders Ahli were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling side Hodoud in Alexandria in a heated clash. Egypt striker Meteb was involved in a heated exchange with Youssef, who stepped onto the pitch when Hodoud's Cameroonian keeper Mathurin Kameni was receiving treatment in the second half. "I was checking Kameni when Meteb confronted me and told me that Kameni was acting to waste time," Youssef told FilGoal.com. "I told him to go away but he shamefully insulted my mother and father. I don't know how an international player could behave like that." Youssef was sent off by referee Mohamed Abbas while Meteb, who scored Ahli's equalizer, was only booked. "The referee's decision was very strange. I was red-carded although I was not the culprit," he added. Abbas denied that Meteb insulted Youssef, who appeared to be rebuked by Hodoud's head coach Tarek Al-Ashri. "Meteb received a yellow card due to his altercation with Youssef, but he did not say any inappropriate words," the referee said.
