ENPPI have turned down a £2million offer from Sunderland for Egypt full-back Ahmed Al-Muhammadi, the player's agent said. Reports in England suggested that the Black Cats have agreed terms with the 22-year-old wide man over a January move. However, Al-Muhammadi's wish of playing in Europe faces a major hurdle as ENPPI are unwilling to sell him before next summer. "Sunderland offered £2million plus 20% of the next sale, which is around 18million Egyptian pounds," agent Nader Shawki told FilGoal.com. "Unfortunately ENPPI insist on keeping Al-Muhammadi and do not want to sell him before the end of the season. "He is keen to make the move. He wants to play in England and knows that Sunderland are a good side. We hope we can find a solution with board soon." Al-Muhammadi played a key role in Egypt's 2010 African Cup of Nations triumph in Angola and was increasingly improving on the right flank.
