The Egyptian FA failed to take a decision over the Zamalek-Harras Hodoud saga despite earlier announcing that they would convene on Thursday to end the matter. Hodoud defeated Zamalek 2-1 in the Egyptian Premier League earlier this month but fielded an ineligible player in forward Ahmed Eid after being given the green light by the EFA's competitions committee. Eid shouldn't have participated in the game after he was shown a straight red card in Hodoud's 2-0 defeat to Arab Contractors last month. That red card should have resulted in a two-game suspension but he sat out just one match, played against Zamalek and scored to help Hodoud claim all three points. The EFA, bearing in mind that they are to blame for the problem, called off Thursday's meeting after failing to find a solution. FilGoal.com learned that the Egyptian governing body postponed their decision for an indefinite period. "What happens is totally unacceptable. Managing the EFA that way is shameful," board member Magdi Abdul-Ghani, who threatened to resign from his post few months ago due to differences with fellow members, said. "The National Sports Council should intervene; I'm wondering why they are silent." Zamalek want to be awarded winners or have the game replayed while Hodoud insist the whole issue has nothing to do with them.
