Mohamed Zidan's Borussia Dortmund failed to keep their lead intact to draw 1-1 away to leaders Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Friday. The visitors opened the scoring after eight minutes when in-form Argentinean striker Lucas Barrios superbly headed home a pinpoint cross from Nelson Valdez. Defender Manuel Friedrich secured a share of spoils five minutes past the hour mark when he headed in a corner. Egypt striker Zidan, who was named man of the match in Dortmund's 2-0 victory over Bochum last Sunday, was deemed doubtful for the game but recovered from an ankle injury in time to make the team's starting line-up. He was not at his best though, barely making an impact before being replaced with Bulgarian frontman Dimitar Rangelov in the 72nd minute. Zidan, who scored one Bundesliga goal so far this season, had a sole chance to find the net ten minutes before the break but he dithered on the ball to allow Finnish veteran defender Sami Hyypia to clear the danger. The draw puts Dortmund in 10th place with 13 points from 10 games. The match's goals
