Ahli failed to stay at the UAE League summit after salvaging a 1-1 draw at home with Nasr on Sunday. After a goalless first period, the visitors took the lead when Mohamed Omar broke the deadlock on 70 minutes, and then Brazilian midfielder Clederson Cesar netted the leveler seven minutes from time. Ahli now lie second with 27 points, while Ain are on top of the table on goal difference. Hosni Abd-Rabou was introduced midway in the second half, and was seemingly tensioned for no apparent reason. Abd-Rabou, who was involved in more than one spat with the opposition's players and his teammates as well, was yellow-carded for protesting against the referee. The Egyptian midfielder whipped in a precise cross that was headed by Faisal Khalil, but the latter's effort went inches past the post.
