Hosni Abd-Rabou's Ahli Dubai won their first ever Super Cup title after claiming a 1-0 extra-time victory over Al-Shabab on Sunday. Brazilian midfielder Clederson Cesar scored the winner in the 112th minute. Egypt midfielder Abd-Rabou, who joined Ahli from Ismaili in the close season, played the full 90 minutes. He tried his luck from distance after eight minutes but his shot went just over the bar. In the 75th minute, Abd-Rabou's curling free-kick was blocked by Al-Shabab goalkeeper. Abd-Rabou almost broke the deadlock eight minutes from time when he exchanged passes with Brazilian forward Bare inside the area but his low shot narrowly missed the target.
