Egyptian right-back Ahmed Samir came off the bench to score twice and inspire Lierse SK to a stunning 4-1 home victory over rivals Antwerp in the Belgian second division on Saturday. Versatile midfielder Garry de Graef put the hosts in front after 15 minutes. Cameroonian striker Emmanuel Kenmogne leveled the score four minutes after the restart but Samir's second-half introduction swung things in Lierse favor. He restored Lierse's lead in the 68th minute before adding the third nine minutes later, thanks to an assist by compatriot Mohamed Abdul-Wahed. The former Zamalek man took his tally to four goals this season. Former Fulham and Everton striker Tomasz Radzinski completed the rout seven minutes from time. Lierse's first victory over Antwerp since 2004 put them in second place of the league table on 42 points, just three behind leaders Sint-Truidense. The league winner directly qualifies for the Belgian first division while teams from the second to the fifth places enter promotion play-offs.
