ENPPI's Ahmed Al-Muhammadi will undergo a medical at Blackburn Rovers on Monday after convincing manager Paul Ince that he is good enough to play in the Premiership. The versatile midfielder has flown to England on Thursday to have a trial at Rovers and he has seemingly impressed Ince. "During Rovers' training, Al-Muhammadi provided several pinpoint crosses to strike duo Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz," a source close to the player told FilGoal.com. "The player will undergo a medical on Monday, after which Rovers will table a bid to acquire his services in January." If Al-Muhammadi joins Rovers, he will become the fifth Egyptian to be playing in the Premiership. Mohamed Shawky and Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido' play for Middlesbrough, Amr Zaki plays for Wigan Athletic while Hossam Ghaly is registered in Tottenham Hotspur's squad. Egyptian international Al-Muhammadi, 21, has been a regular member of Hassan Shehata's roster since making his debut against Mauritania in 2007. He started his career as a striker with Ghazl Mahalla, before becoming a right wing-back after joining one-time Egyptian Cup winners ENPPI.
