Mohamed Zidan's first-half goal gave Borussia Dortmund a precious 1-0 away victory over Karlsruhe in the Bundesliga on Friday. The Egyptian forward was included in the starting line-up after recovering from a stomach injury that threatened to rule him out of the match. He scored a poacher's goal after 20 minutes to put the visitors in front. Zidan cut ahead of Karlsruhe keeper Markus Miller to convert Tamas Hajnal's cross from the right and notch his third league goal. The former Hamburg man could have doubled Dortmund's advantage six minutes before the break. He tricked a challenger inside the area but his mis-hot shot missed the target. Zidan was substituted in the 74th minute, making way for Swiss striker Alexander Frei. Dortmund moved into fourth spot in the Bundesliga table with 24 points, four adrift of joint leaders Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim. Watch Zidan's goal
