Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan came off the bench to score a superb goal in Hamburg's 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in a friendly game on Saturday. Ruud van Nistelrooy opened the scoring for Real in the 25th minute when he connected with a low cross to notch home from close range. Zidan was introduced in the second-half and he soon made an impact. Seven minutes after restart, the former Mainz man grabbed Hamburg's equalizer after a splendid effort. He gathered the ball on the edge of the area, cut inside to shrug off the attention of three challengers before firing a powerful drive into the top corner of the net. Youngster Daniel Parejo scored Real's winner five minutes from time through a delightful header. Zidan is keen to prove his worth under Hamburg's new manager Martin Jol in order to gain first-team football next season. The 26-year-old had limited opportunities last season and even fell out with Hamburg's former manager Huub Stevens.
