Zamalek striker Sherif Ashraf has been left out of his side's squad for the Egyptian Cup final against ENPPI on Sunday. "Ashraf has been excluded for technical reasons," Zamalek assistant coach Mohamed Helmi revealed. Despite making a bright start to his career with Zamalek, scoring three goals in his first two games, Ashraf failed to establish himself as a first-team regular. He moved down the pecking order behind Amr Zaki, Gamal Hamza and Abdul-Halim Ali. Tunisian defender Wissem El-Abdi has been also left out after committing a fatal error that paved the way for Telecom Egypt's 3-2 league victory over Zamalek last week. Beshir Al-Tabie will miss the match through injury while right-back Ahmed Ghanem and versatile midfielder Magdi Attwa did not make the squad due to suspension. Zamalek, who failed to mount a serious challenge to the Egyptian League title, will be looking for a much-needed win over ENPPI to end a three-year title drought.
