Hodoud beat Mouloudia to go through
Published in FilGoal on 04 - 04 - 2008

Mohamed Al-Herda's first-half header gave Harras Al-Hodoud a 1-0 home victory over Mouloudia Alger and a place in the CAF Confederation Cup third round.
The midfielder scored the winner in the 17th minute to lift the military club through after the first-leg in Algeria ended in a goalless draw.
Al-Hodoud dominated the entire first half as Mouloudia failed to pose any threat.
The Algerians' only chance came after 13 minutes when Abdelmalek Cherrad's tame header missed the target.
Al-Herda deservedly put the hosts in front four minutes later after some good work from striker Abdul-Hamid Bassiouni.
The former Zamalek man latched onto Abdul-Salam Nagah's deft pass in the right-hand side of the penalty area before providing a pinpoint cross to Al-Herda.
The 27-year-old midfielder dived at the far post to head past Mouloudia keeper Mohamed Benhamou.

Bassiouni almost extended Al-Hodoud advantage in the 34th minute when he raced through on goal but his shot was blocked by Benhamou.
Al-Hodoud continued their domination in the second period and squandered several clear-cut opportunities to effectively kill off Mouloudia hopes.
Striker Ahmed Abdul-Ghani tried his luck from distance six minutes after restart but his effort went just wide of the post.
Two minutes later, a neat pass by Mohamed Gouda picked out Nagah inside the area but the talented midfielder's close-range shot hit the side netting.
Bassiouni wasted another glorious opportunity in the 57th minute after his shot from inside the area was tipped by Benhamou before cannoning off the bar.
Al-Hodoud almost paid for their wastefulness in the 71st minute. They had to thank Cameroonian goalkeeper Mathurin Kameni for maintaining their lead.
Moloudia striker Hadj Bougueche headed a long ball into the path of the unmarked Cherrad, who went one-on-one but Kameni rushed out to block his shot.
