Amr Zaki said on Sunday that he was approached by Premiership side Portsmouth and revealed interest from Saudi clubs. The Egypt striker told FilGoal.com that Portsmouth will send Zamalek an official offer on Monday. "Portsmouth officials said they will offer Zamalek £ 2.5 millions (EGP 30 millions) to buy my contract," he said. The Egyptian club suspended Zaki for two weeks and fined him EGP 30.000 on Wednesday after he was found guilty of misconduct. Zamalek football director Ayman Mansour accused the Egyptian international of attempting to beat him earlier last week. Zaki announced on a number of occasions that he wants to leave Zamalek and move to Europe.
Portsmouth Saudi Interest Zamalek said they will let Zaki go should he bring a suitable offer. The 24-year-old star said also he has offers from Saudi sides Hilal and Wehda but said he is keen on a move to England. According to Zaki, Hilal offered a six-month loan deal for $650.000 while Wehda offered a permanent move. "I'd rather play in the Premiership," Zaki said. "But the board will decide whether I will play in England, Saudi Arabia or stay in Egypt."
