Zamalek playmaker Shikabala is close to signing a contract extension with the club, team coordinator Ibrahim Hassan said. "We have reached an agreement with Shikabala over a three-year extension to his contract," Hassan told FilGoal.com. Shikabala, 23, will run out of contract in June and is expected to sign a new deal worth EGP 6.5million, FilGoal.com has learnt. The contract will also include a minimum fee release clause of €2million, only for offers received from non-Egyptian clubs. Prior to the African Cup of Nations, Shikabala was targeted by Italian side Napoli, who were willing to pay €3million for the services of the Egypt international. However, the bid, claimed by agent Ahmed Soweilam, hasn't arrived before the January transfer deadline.
