Ahli's Tunisian midfielder Anis Boujelbene has been handed an EGP 10,000 fine on Friday for traveling to his homeland without taking the club's permission. "After questioning the player's actions, we have decided to impose a financial fine on him and warned him as to his future conduct," Ahli assistant boss Hossam Al-Badri told FilGoal.com. "Boujelbene said sudden personal problems have forced him to fly to Tunisia but he should have taken permission." The 29-year-old midfielder went to Tunisia few days before Ahli's last Egyptian League match against Ismaili in which the Cairo giants were handed a 1-0 defeat. Media reports said the former Sfaxien man could depart Ahli but the player later rebuffed the rumors. Meanwhile, Ahli boss Manuel Jose is set to return to Egypt on Sunday to prepare the team for the Egyptian Cup quarter-finals match against Al-Gaish on Friday. Jose flew to Portugal to spend his yearly vacation after guiding Ahli to their third successive Egyptian League title.
