Egypt veteran striker Hossam Hassan and five other new recruits were presented by Ittihad of Alexandria during a press conference on Thursday morning. Chairman Kamal Shalabi welcomed the new comers who are Mahmoud Samna, Mahmoud Shaker Abdul-Fatah, Hussein Shokri (Tersana), Mohamed Ali (Arab Contractors) and Mohamed Al-Ghanam (Asyut Petroleum) in addition to Hassan. Vice president Mohamed Mosselhi announced that all those transfers were accomplished upon manager Mohamed Omar's demand. Mosselhi also revealed that he had agreed terms with Zamalek youngster Hossam Ossama in order to get him next season but has yet to open talks with the club. It's not the end of the campaign for the Alexandria-based side as the Ittihad official confirmed he's closing on a deal with one of Ahli's youngsters to boost his roaster. On the other hand, Hassan, who will turn 41 next August, said that Ittihad's huge fan base motivated him to join the club and lead his team-mates to a new achievement. The former Ahli, Zamalek, Masri and Tersana striker put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal worth EGP 500,000.
