Tersana's veteran striker Hossam Hassan is set to undergo a knee surgery on Saturday after suffering a torn cartilage in the club's training session last week. The 40-year-old felt a knee pain but opted to carry on in order to play against Tanta in the Egyptian League on Friday and help his team in their bid to avoid relegation. However, Tersana coach Farouk Gaafar refused to introduce him in the match that ended in a goalless draw so as to not aggravate the injury. The former Ahli and Zamalek star faces up to month on the sidelines. Hassan is Tersana's leading scorer this season with six goals after arriving from Masri in the off-season.
