Uncapped duo Ahmed Al-Gamal and Farag Shalabi have been called-up to Egypt's 22-man squad for the friendly game against Sweden on Wednesday in celebration of CAF's 50th anniversary. Egypt boss Hassan Shehata chose Ismaili right-back Al-Gamal and ENPPI defender Shalabi after their impressive performances in the Egyptian League this season. Ismaili forward Omar Gamal was also included after long absence from the national team squad. Seven Europe-based players are recalled, led by Tottenham duo Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' and Hossam Ghaly as well as Anderlecht skipper Ahmed Hassan. Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib told FilGoal.com that the team will begin their training camp on Saturday. The Egypt-Sweden friendly, which will be played at the Cairo International Stadium, comes as a part of the African governing body's 50th anniversary celebrations.
