Petrojet duo Osama Mohamed and Walid Soliman have been called up to Egypt's squad facing Benin in a friendly game on Wednesday. Left-back Mohamed has been a consistent performer for Petrojet, providing numerous assists for his teammates via his pinpoint crosses. With Ahli's Sayed Moawad being out of favor after failing to establish himself as a regular starter, Hassan and Ismaili's Ahmed Samir Farag are set to vie for a place in Egypt's starting eleven. Petrojet playmaker Soliman is also among the local-based players added to Egypt's roster. The talented schemer played a pivotal role in helping surprise package Petrojet occupy the league summit. Telecom Egypt's Wael Riad also made the Pharaohs' squad after putting in an impressive display in his side's 3-2 defeat to Ahli on Saturday. The diminutive midfielder scored two goals and unsettled Ahli's backline with his pacey runs. Ismaili's attacking midfielder Abdullah Saied, who scored six goals for the Dervishes so far this season, was named in the squad. The African champions' preliminary squad, which was announced earlier this month, included Mido and Amr Zaki but the England-based duo will not be available due to injury. Ahli players are yet to be named. Egypt coach Hassan Shehata is waiting until they conclude their CAF Champions League commitment. The Cairo giants take on Coton Sport of Cameroon in the second-leg of the competition's final on Sunday.
