Zamalek striker Amr Zaki has linked up with his teammates in Port Said to face Masri in the Egyptian League on Friday, although he was initially excluded from the squad. Manager Manuel Cajuda did not include Zaki in his 20-man squad for the Masri game after the Egypt international was sentenced for three months in jail by an Egyptian court for insulting a policeman. The Portuguese coach believed Zaki won't be prepared mentally for the match but the former ENPPI striker said he opted to be with his team in order to rebuff any accusations of intentionally escaping Zamalek's encounters. Nevertheless, Zaki, who appealed the court's verdict, is angry at his team for not supporting him. "I didn't find any support from Zamalek after the announcement of the verdict, I tried to meet chairman Mamdouh Abbas but he refused," Zaki told FilGoal.com on Thursday. "Although I did my best for the club in the past period, they didn't defend me at all. "I hired two lawyers to defend me whilst the same situation happened with an Ahli player before but his club appointed four lawyers to defend him," Zaki added, referring to Ahli striker Emad Meteb. The 23-year-old said he will demand Zamalek's technical staff to field him in Masri game, adding that he wasn't informed of their decision to rule him out of the match.
