French striker David Trezeguet will stay at Juventus despite their demotion to Serie B, Juventus general manager Jean-Claude Blanc said on Tuesday. "David Trezeguet will remain at Juventus next season. He knows our position," Blanc French daily L'Equipe. Blanc's announcement comes as a blow for clubs like Lyon, Inter Milan, and Manchester United who were reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the French ace. Brazilian midfielder Emerson and Italy's defender Fabio Cannavaro joined Spanish giants Real Madrid while Lilian Thuram and Gianluca Zambrotta signed for Barcelona. French defensive midfielder Patrick Vieira is also on the brink of joining Inter Milan. "The departure of Patrick Vieira for Inter Milan will be Juventus' last sale this summer," he insisted. Blanc also assured Juve fans that Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay in Turin to help the team regain their place in the Serie A. "He will also stay at Juventus. We know we will need an extremely strong team, even in Serie B."
