Valencia president Juan Bautista Soler said that he hasn't given up signing Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United. "We'll do everything possible to sign Ronaldo, he is our priority acquisition at the moment and we still have time till August 31st," Soler was quoted as saying by AS newspaper on Monday. Soler confirmed that his club submitted an official offer for the 21-year-old adding that Manchester United have yet to reply. "I've always said that signing Ronaldo would be difficult, but there's nothing impossible, we will not throw the towel till they reject us three or four times." "First we want to reach a deal with Manchester, and as soon as we do we'll start contacting the player," Soler added. Ronaldo has been a prominent figure in the team since he joined United from Sporting Lisbon in 2003. But the clash with teammate Wayne Rooney during the Portugal-England quarter final game in the World Cup which saw Rooney get sent off may well lead the Portuguese to head out of Old Trafford.
