Second-division side Al-Zarqa have qualified to the round of 32 in the Egypt Cup to face Zamalek while Bani Swaif Telephones advanced to take on league champions Ahli. Al-Zarqa stunned Suez 1-0 in their last preliminary on Sunday as Bani Swaif squeezed past Grand Hotel 4-3 on penalties. In other matches, Dekernis beat Railways, Egypt's oldest club, 6-5 in penalty shootout after both normal and extra times ended in a 3-3 draw. They marched on to play Kafr Al-Sheikh who eliminated The Eastern Company 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 tie. First-division hopefuls Al-Gouna toppled southern giants Al-Menia 1-0 and were paired with Ittihad in a repeat of last year's match in the same round. Another southern big club, Aswan, suffered an early exit when they lost to Cairo tiny club Al-Nassr with the same result.
