CAIRO - Italy repatriated Friday 27 Egyptian illegal immigrants who were arrested a few weeks earlier, while attempting to enter the European country. Cairo Airport officials said that the Egyptians arrived in Cairo on an EgyptAir aircraft accompanied by 25 security guards. The young men were reportedly involved with a people-trafficking network that smuggles Egyptians to European countries by sea in return for LE20,000 (3,600 dollars) per person, according to local authorities.
