Egypt's PM inspects Decent Life Initiative projects in Gharbeya
There are 19 projects to construct and raise the efficiency of bridges in the governorate

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inspected a number of projects of Decent Life Presidential Initiative in the village of Nahtay in the Zefta Municipality of Gharbeya.
He was accompanied by Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Al-Moselhi; Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar; Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy; Governor of Gharbeya Tariq Rahmi; and a number of other municipal leaders.
During the tour, Madbouly inspected the development of Martyr Tolba Al-Sayeh School and listened to students singing and a showing off their athleticism in a series of exercises.
He also inspected the construction of a new school, a youth centre, a citizen services centre, a centre for agricultural services and government services, a childcare complex next to the fire station, and a project to line canals.
Moreover, Madbouly inspected a health unit, an ambulance station, and a drinking water facility.
At the beginning of his tour, the PM said: "We came here today to continue the follow-up on the rates of implementation of the projects of the Decent Life Presidential Initiative in Egyptian villages... we are here to confirm the continuation of the work of this huge national project, which aims to improve the standard and quality of life of about 60m citizens in the Egyptian countryside."
He also that as per the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, work will continue in all the targeted villages despite the difficulties and repercussions of the global crisis that have cast a shadow on all walks of life.
For his part, Rahmi reviewed the projects being implemented in the Zefta Municipality, indicating that nine projects are being implemented for the complexes in the area with an average completion rate of 78.8%.
There are also 108 projects in the electricity sector with an average completion rate of 57.9%, including 54 projects to establish electrical networks.
In terms of road and bridge projects in the governorate, the governor announced that 114 projects for main and internal roads are being implemented through the General Authority for Roads and Bridges and the Coastal Reconstruction Agency.
At the same time, he noted that there are 19 projects to construct and raise the efficiency of bridges in the governorate, including the replacement and renewal of eight overpasses in addition to the maintenance and restoration of 11 other, explaining that work is also underway in railway development projects, which include three projects with an implementation rate of 65.2%.
