Egyptian youth movement to stage sit-in in front of Parliament's offices demanding release of fellow member George Ramzy detained pending investigations into interior ministry clashes The April 6 Youth Movement declared on Saturday the start to an open-ended sit-in in front of Parliament's offices beginning 6pm, in which the group will demand the release of detained member George Ramzy. Ramzy, an April 6 member, was arrested on 6 February during clashes between security forces and protesters in front of the Ministry of Interior building, following a football massacre which left at least 74 dead and hundreds injured. The Port Said Stadium disaster on 1 February sparked clashes between security forces and angry protesters, who blamed intended security negligence for the bloodshed. According to the group's statement, Ramzy was arrested as he was taking part in an activist initiative aimed at putting an end to the ongoing clashes. The statement also alleges that Ramzy was tortured during his detention. On 7 March, prosecution ordered that Ramzy be detained for another 15 days pending investigations.
