Security source said Tuesday that the security forces arrested six jihadi women in North Sinai's Arish and Rafah cities for targeting army and police personnel, Al Bawaba News reported. The sources pointed out that the security services succeeded to identify the leader of the female terrorist cell after she planted an improvised explosive device in front of Rafah Hospital, which killed four army soldiers. The security forces found in the suspect's house Motorola devices, cell phones, takfiri books and military uniforms. During the investegations, the suspect admitted that she recruited four other women in Rafah city in order to launch terrorist attacks against army and police personnel. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army and police have been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, after it had claimed responsibility for several attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel. In 2014, the group announced its allegiance to Islamic State jihadist group.
