Cairo Criminal Court adjourned Tuesday the trial of 213 Wilayat Sinai terrorist group militants over terrorism-related cases, Al Masry Al Youm News reported. The defendants face charges of murdering, assassinate police personnel, trying to assassinate former Minister of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim, joining a terrorist group and cooperating with Muslim Brotherhood military wing Hamas. Since September 2013, Egypt has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against Wilayat Sinai, formerly known as Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis, after it claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
