They discussed coordinating between liberal trends during the two upcoming election phases, particularly after the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party got the most votes in first phase. Hamzawy, who is a founder of Egypt's Freedom Party, wrote on his Twitter account his meeting with Sawiris witnessed frank discussion about the problems in the current phase. Hamzawi added they agreed to coordinate between liberal forces for Egypt. Sawiris also wrote on his Twitter account he is optimistic about their coordination. It is worth mentioning Sawiris previously said that Amr Hamzawi refused to coordinate with the Egyptian Bloc.
