Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth wrote a detailed report about the future of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The report alleges that the group will use religion, politics and money to assume power in Egypt after being persecuted during the rule of ousted president Hosni Mubarak. The report focused on Khairat al-Shater, the leader of the MB in Egypt, and described him as the economic brain of the group and a leading businessman who was persecuted and jailed by the Mubarak regime. The MB depends on Shater to execute its political projects and plans, according to the report. The report said that the MB can easily control Egyptian politics through the upcoming parliamentary elections despite their attempts to improve the economy by instituting Islamic economic thought.
