CAIRO: Clashes between Central Security Forces and demonstrations escalated again in Fahmy Street near the trading chambers in downtown Cairo. Military police fired cartridges, rubber bullets and teargas at demonstrators. Many demonstrators were injured and a fire broke out in one of the residents' houses in Mansour Street after random firing. Civil Defense Forces controlled the fire. As night fell, Tahrir Square witnessed a dramatic traffic jam due to the large numbers of the demonstrators coming to Tahrir for a million-man demonstration. Many marches carrying Egypt flags moved around the square, chanting against Egypt's ruling military council and Field Marshal Hussein Tanatwi and condemning their involvement in killing demonstrators and using violence against the peaceful demonstrators.
